Lauder Companies Description Position Summary: This position is
directly responsible to lead procurement requirements and
negotiations for the Travel Retail region in the Americas for the
store construction and Visual Merchandising spend. Leverage
procurement and commercial opportunities to reduce cost, negotiate
project with vendors to achieve substantial savings, maintain or
increase quality. Negotiate all counter construction projects in a
fast paced environment in collaboration with project managers. Plan
and lead all counter construction procurement needs in partnership
with store designers and project manager teams for the region.
Onboard and manage the vendor base for the categories in scope.
Plan and suggest improvements in our counters and store
construction through value engineering, material specification and
timeliness of execution to improve competitive edge. Be responsible
to identify and implement innovative ideas to improve stores and
counters. Job Description: 80% - Lead and manage
procurementsourcing activities with cross functional teams at
international level to deliver best in class goods and services for
the region. Negotiate with third parties counter construction costs
to reduce the total cost of ownership year on year. Recommend value
engineering on processes and designs to reduce costs and improve
efficiencies with our vendors. Collaborate with TR Lachen, other
regional IP and Global IP teams to improve supplier effectiveness
and total cost of ownership focused in stores fixtures and visual
merchandising categories. Partner with regional project managers
and store design teams to ensure timely completion of bidding and
pricing process of projects. Ensure collaboration of key
stakeholders with each project to deliver best results. Identify,
initiate and participate in the tender processes, with bids'
evaluation, bid award, negotiation, new vendor on boarding, vendor
performance management and reporting to stakeholders with the aim
to drive down costs of total ownership. 10% - Lead and initiate
analysis to recommend sourcing opportunities, vendor base
improvement to support business needs, improve value, reduce cost
and improve quality. Develop and maintain the region "Preferred
Supplier" list for the categories under responsibility and ensure
correct usage of suppliers by business partners. 5% - Evaluate
vendor capabilities and establish sources for new technologies and
markets as driven by business requirements. Measure and manage the
overall performance of suppliers implemented with KPIs. Define
supplier base, secure capacity and ensure continuity in supply.
Identify and implement commercial solutions to reduce cost of
ownership for the maintenance of our counters. 5% - Partner with
Legal to create risk managed contracts; implement appropriate
governance models to control cost and ensure compliance with
Finance and Internal Control for documentation requirements.
Maintain all documents in a central place using tools available to
enable paperless filling. Qualifications Qualifications:
Demonstrated successful results in managing purchasingsourcing
activities across multiple markets for stores fixtures and VM.
Extensive commercial negotiations experience to drive substantial
cost reduction from the vendors under responsibility. Project
ManagementConstruction experience with the ability to read and
understand technical drawings, store and visual layouts. A strong
knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, specific to
materials. Proven ability to manage internal and external parties.
Diplomacy with strong oral and written communication skills.
Experienced in change management to the environment; initiate and
implement change. Strong computer skills in Windows Office.
Necessary ERP systems, SAP, Ariba beneficial. Minimum Education
Level: University Degree Minimum Years of Experience: 5 Licenses or
