Client Details We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Preconstruction to lead our preconstruction department. This executive-level role is critical to our continued success and growth, playing a pivotal part in shaping projects before they break ground. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with deep expertise in both commercial and municipal construction Description Lead the preconstruction and estimating efforts across multiple commercial sectors. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates , budgets, and takeoffs using industry software. Analyze subcontractor bids and develop scopes to ensure complete and competitive proposals. Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and clients throughout the bidding process. Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure a smooth estimating workflow. Support business development and contribute to strategy for securing repeat and new clients. Profile 5 years of experience in estimating commercial construction projects. Demonstrated experience in Education (K-12 & Higher Ed) , Federal projects and Retail/Fast Casual (e.g., Chick-fil-A, Starbucks) . Proficient in modern estimating software and tools. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong leadership and ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team. Strong local subcontractor network is a plus.
